The quad-city area has few choices for sheltering the homeless. Whether homeless for years or only a week, if they desire to improve their situation, PASS is there to help.  For nine years PASS has supported homeless women, children, families and veterans on their path to self-sufficiency.  Opening in 2007 as a winter shelter for women, PASS operated out of the basement of a local church. The need for a year-round shelter was great and in April, 2008 the current location for the women’s shelter was opened.

In 2015 PASS served 126 women, 24 families, and 96 children. The transition rate into permanent housing is 90%. Imagine the thrill and excitement of women and families who are able to obtain a job, save money, and obtain permanent housing. Something they thought would never happen for them!
